Transmission Repair & Service
Caught early, a transmission problem is often a fluid service or a sensor. Ignored, it's a rebuild. We help you catch it early and fix it right.
Signs you may need transmission repair
Transmissions rarely fail overnight — they warn you first. A slip, a shudder, a delayed engagement, or fluid on the driveway are all early signs that get cheaper to fix the sooner you act. We diagnose the problem with a scan and a road test before recommending anything, because a "transmission problem" is sometimes just low or burnt fluid, a sensor, or a solenoid.
Service before rebuild
Plenty of shops jump straight to "you need a rebuild." We'd rather find out what's actually wrong. Many issues come down to fluid condition, a valve body, or an electronic fault — repairs that cost a fraction of a rebuild. When a rebuild or replacement really is the answer, we tell you straight and stand behind the work.
Towing and diesel transmissions
If you tow or run a diesel, your transmission lives a hard life — heat is the enemy. We service heavy-duty and diesel transmissions and can talk you through upgrades and maintenance that keep them alive under load.
Transmission Repair — common questions
How often should I change my transmission fluid?
It varies by vehicle and how you drive — towing and heat shorten the interval. Many vehicles benefit from service every 30,000–60,000 miles. We can check your fluid's condition and tell you where you stand.
My transmission slips — is it ruined?
Not necessarily. Slipping can come from low or degraded fluid, a solenoid, or a sensor as well as internal wear. The only way to know is to diagnose it. The sooner you bring it in, the better your odds of a smaller repair.
Do you rebuild transmissions?
We diagnose, service, and repair transmissions and handle rebuilds and replacements when they're warranted — including heavy-duty and diesel applications. We always confirm the real problem first.
